Nanny for 2-Years-Old Twins Needed (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We are a Ukrainian family, moving to Vancouver from Germany in May. We are looking for a caring, creative, experienced and reliable nanny for our two-year-old twin girls. From 20 to 30 hours per week, starting from May 15. We will be based in Kitsilano in May and June, and then will move to another part of Vancouver or Burnaby. Responsibilities will include playing inside or outside, feeding, diaper changing, putting them to sleep. Keeping them safe at all times is a top priority. We also have a friendly cat, but she does not require any special care. You are welcome to send me a message, so we can meet and see if we like each other. I dont have a Canadian phone number yet, so email is the only option until May 1. We are looking for a new nanny to come help our family from mid May. (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We are looking for a new nanny to come help our family from mid May. Heres what wed like you to be: lovely, nice, kind and compassionate, but not a pushover. Outgoing and enthusiastic; youre able to turn a trip on the Skytrain into a fun adventure, and youd rather be out doing stuff with the kids than stuck inside. Youll love my kids, and youll love them enough to understand and support our desire for good manners, follow through, consistency, and (age appropriate) consequences. Youll have fantastic experience with great references, solid safety credentials (CPR, for example) and, in an ideal world, youd be willing to drive my kids around in our car (which has been called a safety cocoon on wheels - we all have our things.) If youre not up for driving, youll have a no fear attitude to public transit with two kids. Youll appreciate that this is not just a job for us - were looking for someone to essentially join our family. To be the hands I cant be whilst Im at work. Which means youll also take pride in our home and want to help us keep it tidy. Youll have that built in mom ability to just notice what needs doing and then do it - you know what I mean, that mom radar. Youll also be a punctual person who loves the idea of hanging out every day with two awesome kids. What well do for you: We feel nannies deserve the same government benefits that we all do. Youll get a T4 annually and properly documented paystubs. You can eat whatever is in our house for breakfast and lunch (most of it is organic), and Im a big believer in keeping good coffee on hand. Well be respectful of your working hours, communicate clearly with you, and look forward to seeing you when you arrive. And, of course, well pay a competitive wage. Who we are: Were a pretty solid family (if we do say so ourselves). Were made up of my husband and me, and our two kiddos. Our son is nearly four and our daughter is a year and a half. We live in Mount Pleasant, just up from City Hall, between Cambie and Main. Were looking for someone to work four days a week, from 8am - 4pm. Send me a message if you have any questions or if you think you could be the hero were looking for. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. HELP! Mother's helper needed in Nanaimo - Nanny Wanted (CanadianNanny.ca) - Nanaimo, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) This is a unique position -- keep reading, because it might just be the perfect part-time odd job for you. I am a single mother with a demanding career, a three-year-old, a super mellow dog, and I need your help -- specifically, with about five hours a day of light housekeeping, cooking and childcare. The position includes a private 400 sq/ft. living space and your own bathroom. If you are live-in I will provide your accommodation, internet, and food -- and you will get $780 every 4 weeks which you won't have to spend on living expenses. If you are live-out your salary is $1050. My daughter loves painting, drawing, music, dancing and is very athletic. I am not at all athletic and I love hanging out with her. We have a fun, friendly household. We value respect, communication and kindness. We also just like laughing a lot. We both think we are hilarious. My dog is middle-aged and is an absolute sweetheart. She is friendly, but not overly excitable. You will love her. But enough about us, here is what I am looking for: In the mornings, you will cook a simple breakfast and help get everyone out the door on time. That may involve helping my daughter get dressed or packing lunches or locating a missing running shoe. I'm sure each morning will be a new adventure! At around 7:45 each morning my daughter and I will drive off and the house will suddenly be peaceful. You are welcome to eat breakfast and dinner with us. We eat a wide-range of foods and I'm sure whatever you like to cook will be lovely. Your tasks during the day will include an hour or two of light housekeeping (laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, general tidying etc.), taking the dog for a 30-40 minute walk, and preparing dinner. At 4:30 you will pick my daughter up at school and bring her home. I should be home shortly afterwards and we'll have dinner. Occasionally, I will need childcare when my daughter's school is not available. I will pay you for these extra hours as they arise. I will give you as much notice as possible, but sometimes (for example, if she is ill), I won't be able to let you know until last minute. Generally, these extra childcare needs will be flexible, but on very rare occasions they will be non-negotiable. I have a profession where on these rare days it is impossible for me not to be present at work. For example, if my daughter is sick and cannot go to school, I cannot be absent from work and it is impossible for my child to come to come to work with me. I will expect you to make yourself available if that ever happens. Your room is on the ground floor. It is approximately 400 square feet, with a sitting area on one side and your bed on the other. It contains a queen-sized bed, full-sized fridge, a microwave, and a table that seats four. There are two entrances to your living area one through entryway to the the house and one through the garage. This allows you a little privacy and the opportunity to have friends over without worrying about bothering us. There is a parking spot for you beside the house. Your room has a large picture window looking out over the front yard. There are also windows on the other side which let in some light. Down the hallway is your three-piece bathroom. No one else will use it. My backyard has a cherry tree, which provides more fruit than I can eat in the summer, an apple tree, a magnolia tree and a monkey puzzle tree. There is an area for vegetables and a hot house, and if I become more organized, I will grow some fruits and vegetables this summer. I usually manage strawberries, mint and I often end up killing the tomato plant I buy every year. If you like gardening I would be happy to give you free-reign. Our house is across the street from a beautiful walking trail through the forest that takes you to the beach within about 10 mins. You will see wild rabbits hop around front yards all day. Deer often wander into peoples gardens. At the beach I have seen sea lions, seals and sea otters no whales yet, but Im hoping. The house is in North Nanaimo, and is about equal distance to downtown and the major shopping centres. There is a bus stop about a five minute walk from the house. If you were interested, you would be able to take classes at Vancouver Island University. Please mention in your application if you are fluent in a language other than English. I would love my daughter to have the opportunity to learn another language. Ella ya sabe un poco de espaol gracias a Dora la Exploradora. Sus abuelos vivieron en Mxico durante muchos aos y tambin hablan espaol. Esto se escribi con Google Translate porque no s espaol. I would like the applicant to plan to stay for at least one year. However, I anticipate that this position will be open for three or four years. If this is the position for you, please email ...@gmail.com with Mother's Helper in the subject line. Please include a cover letter, resume and three references. All applications will be subject to a criminal records check. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. Spend your summer exploring beautiful Vancouver, BC with 2 kids! - Nanny Wanted (CanadianNanny.ca) - New Westminster, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We are looking for a short term au pair for the summer - for July and August (9 weeks). We have 2 kids - our son is 10 and our daughter is 8. We also have a friendly and lovable 12-year-old chocolate lab, so you have to be comfortable around dogs. We live in New Westminster, BC, which is a 25-minute Skytrain ride to downtown Vancouver. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom, with access to TV and wifi. We can provide computer access, if you don't have your own. We will also provide a cell phone, or cell phone allowance if you have your own phone. Our son is super active and athletic. He is very high energy and we work with him to help manage his focus and energy. We are able to help him successfully navigate obstacles by giving him reminders and activities. He does have a propensity to have great focus, too. His plays organized lacrosse, but he also loves to play soccer and hockey, ski and swim. I'm sure it would be easy to get him into basketball and football too. It would be an asset to have an au pair who loved to be active as well. Our daughter is our cautious child. She is still learning to swim and ride a bike! She loves to read and do art projects. She's also quite a character - enjoying singing and dancing around the house. But really, at 10 and 8, our kids are at such an enjoyable age where they like to go out, explore and have fun! Anywhere we go - whether its the park, for a hike or to the museum, the kids find it all so fascinating and fun! Its such a fun age and we want them to really enjoy their experiences, while having a positive young-adult role model to guide them. We would provide you with expenses so your able to explore the many activities our lovely city has to offer. In the 9-week period, we need full time care for the kids on some days and part time on others, as the kids will be in day camps. A driver's license is preferable, but not necessary (we can discuss subsidizing your transit pass). We will also be going on vacation in this period, so we can talk about whether you want to join us or have some time to explore our beautiful city. Ideal candidate would be a mature student who may be studying Education or Recreation Management with previous childcare experience. Reference, Drivers abstract (if applicable) and criminal record check required. Position is open and available to those that have a valid open working permit, Canadian Citizens, landed immigrants or students with a working permit. This position has the potential to carry over into part-time work after the summer. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. Need an outing-loving part-time nanny June through August (Or just June!) for two great kids (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) I am a work-from-home Mom who needs time to work from home! Ideally I need three-to-four mornings a week, and three or four hours each morning (about 12 hours per week). I am looking for someone either to fill the five weeks my current nanny is away (starting June 1), or for June 1 through August 20 if I can't find someone for just the month. Ideally you would have previous experience with young children, infant first aid and CPR, a criminal record check and references. Other requirements would be preparing the children's snacks and lunches and minimal light housework. Experience with food sensitivities is an asset but not required. My children are 3.5 (girl) and 1.5 (boy). They're fun, well-rested, happy kids who get along great with each other. Because I need work-from-home time, a lot of the care would mean taking the kids on outings - parks, library, family place, play gyms, picnics, etc. I am flexible on which days of the week you would work as for me it's just a matter of having time for my work. Flexible childcare needed for two little girls (3yrs and 11mths) - Nanny Wanted (CanadianNanny.ca) - Prince George, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) My name is Becky. I'm a recently single mom with two little girls - 3 years old and 9 months old. I'll be going back to work on June 12 (my youngest will be 11 months at that time). I'm a Registered Nurse and work in community nursing, so I do not do 12 hour shifts or graveyards. However, I'm casual, so my schedule is a bit all over the place. The shifts can be any day of the week, and anytime between 7:30am and 10:00pm, and each shift is 8, 9 or 10 hours long. Some of my shifts would be pre-bookings, and some would be a phone call that morning telling me someone is sick! I can turn down shifts when needed, so I wouldn't expect you to be at my beck and call. I would just text or call you to check your availability before accepting or declining a shift. For the pre-bookings I would be able to give you a schedule in advance. I do have 2 cats. One is friendly, the other tends to make herself scarce. My house is a non-smoking home. My girls are very sweet and well-behaved, easygoing, and a lot of fun (if I do say so myself!) Please let me know if any of this sounds like a good fit for you. Thanks so much, Becky Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!

Nanny / Household Manager / Executive Assistant (CanadianNanny.ca) - Richmond, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We are a busy family with 3 children (11, 5 and 1) plus a puppy. The children are lovely, the puppy is cute, we have a white picket fence, the freezer always has ice cream in it, we (by we I mean my 5 year old) often put on impromptu shows at dinner time of Moana. (Elsa is so 2015 and Moana is the new Elsa.) I own an outdoor-based, Reggio inspired daycare company, as well as am a full time stay at home mom - which, with the never ending sleep deprivation will often mean that an email is unanswered, a wet load of laundry is forgotten in the washer, or that the overdue library books may still be sitting in the front seat of the minivan. (Oh shoot. I actually think they are there right now. Argh!) I have tried to hire part time nanny/home support without success (Found one fabulous woman but references never came through. Found another who had a family crisis and had to bail at the last minute. Both resulted in me embracing some ice cream and having a good cry) , and have had two full time people fall through at the last minute (More ice cream. More crying.) I would blame it on the full moon, or on Trump, or on the rain...but perhaps it hasn't worked out yet because I am waiting for...you! So - what is it that I need from you? I need someone who loves teaching, nannying, household organizing, cooking and paperworking ... and is fabulous at all five. I don't want to miss out on my children's lives. I also love my job and am very good at my job. But I am terrible at managing things like the weekly dinner menu, and more often than not, some emergency thing will come up at work or with my kids and then all the balls that I am elegantly juggling in the air come crashing down. If you are the person who can help manage the things I fail at, and can help me deal with all those emergency things that inevitably arise, then I really can have the best of both worlds. Have my cake and eat it too! ( any other cliches that seem appropriate here...) This might mean caring for my infant (who was preemie, and so has some delays, including feeding delays), bringing the 5 year old to daycare, tidying or cleaning the house, preparing dinner, doing laundry, walking the puppy, doing various administrative paperwork tasks for the daycare, or running errands for the daycare such as picking up items from the store, delivering toys to the correct centre, preparing daycare lunches or subbing if a classroom is short staffed...it is a bit of a do-everything job. My infant needs to begin her long gradual entry to daycare (she is very hesitant around other infants) and so spending regular mornings with her at daycare is ideal. It is an outdoor based daycare - so you must love long walks in the rain...owning rain boots is a job requirement. Since that is essentially my life, I can tell you it's a great, rewarding job. It is always different, and the quiet at-home moments with baby are a great balance with getting lunch out for 25 three year olds at the daycare! Some days are incredibly hectic, while others are serene and slow paced. The right candidate needs to have a great sense of humour, adapt to change easily and without stress, be able to multitask and keep that running list in your head of what needs to be done next, and be incredibly patient! My parenting philosophy is the same as my schools - so it is a social-emotional focused / attachment based philosophy. When my life is under control (right now, this isn't a good example of that, but typically I am ridiculously organized type of person) I enjoy to-do lists and so forth - so while the job description sounds far reaching and a jack or Jill of all trades, it will quickly become orderly once you and I figure out a routine and I get a few minutes to shower without a child constantly pulling open the shower curtain on me...and then I can write a couple of to-do lists! This is a full time job - ideally 4 days a week, Monday - Friday, but 5 days is also possible...Pay will reflect experience (and if you have/ are eligible for an ECE/ECE Assistant license, any in-classroom work can be paid at our teacher's salary rate) and education; benefits (medical/dental/4 weeks paid vacation) are available after 6 months. We live in Steveston, and driving (or at least a driver's license) is necessary. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!
