Seeking a nanny in Revelstoke for summer (CanadianNanny.ca) - Revelstoke, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Hello, We are an active outdoors-loving family seeking a nanny over the summer to take care of our 3 (nearly 4)-year old daughter. Live-out is preferred, but we would consider a live-in position for the right person. Our work (Mum is an alpine guide) takes us out of town on occasion and the dates can be irregular, so we need someone who is willing to work different hours week to week and possibly occasional evenings and/or overnights. (We can guarantee a minimum 30 hours a week average over the summer). We would work out the schedule and days off with you ahead of time. Our daughter likes to play outdoors, sing, read, go to playgroups and engage with the people and world around her. She is a bright spark with a big heart who loves to read and learn. We don't want a nanny who is glued to their phone... we want someone who will be present, active and engaged. We would ask you to prepare her meals and snacks and to clean up her messes, but we don't expect you to be a housekeeper for the whole family. Please get in touch if you'd like to introduce yourself and know more about the position. Penny & Jamie Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. Busy, Fun-loving Coquitlam Family Seeking Awesome Nanny (CanadianNanny.ca) - Coquitlam, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Hello! My name is Kai and I am nine years old. I have one brother who is six and a sister who is nearly 4. My parents both work at a university and are very busy with their jobs so we are looking for an awesome nanny to care for us when my mom and dad are at work (typically Monday-Friday, 8:30 or 11:30am until 5pm). The position is full time (30-40 hours per week). Our current nanny is going back to Finland at the beginning of July so we are looking for someone who can start around that time, and who can make a one- year commitment. My brother, sister and I are generally happy, curious, social, independent, and fun-loving kids. We all ski and take piano lessons. I play soccer and ball hockey, and love reading (Harry Potter), solving puzzles, playing video games, and listening to classical music. I go to a private challenge program one morning a week. My brother plays lacrosse and snowboards, and loves current pop music. He likes to make dinner for the family (with some help), and loves building lego and playing with cars. My sister loves gymnastics, dancing, and swimming. She enjoys imaginative play and doing her makeups. She is pretty cute and I would do anything for her. My sister and I have allergies, primarily to animals, grasses and pollen. My brother and I go to school from 9-3 and my sister goes to preschool in the mornings a few days a week. Our nanny picks us up from school and sometimes drops us off. We are very social and like to have hangouts with our friends when possible. Our nannies typically become part of our extended family. We are very close with our previous and current nanny, and they can provide us with a glowing reference. My mom and dad like to work collaboratively with our nanny to ensure everyone is safe and well cared for, and that our household is maintained (light housekeeping and cooking). My parents value experiencing as much as possible in life so they are usually on board for most adventures, and encourage our nannies to share their passions with us. We try to strike a balance between homework and play, indoors and outdoors, nutritious food and treats, and video games and boards games. Above all, we are looking for someone genuinely loves working with children, has a warm and caring personality. If our parents cant be with us they want someone who is like family to look after us. We need someone who is honest, responsible and reliable, so that my mom and dad dont have to worry about us when they are at work. We are looking for someone who is industrious, takes initiative, and plans ahead so we can all get the most out of our day. We expect that you will organize activities such as games, puzzles, outdoor play, crafts, reading, and outings, play with us, and help us with our homework. We need someone who has the energy and stamina to keep up with us kids. A BC driver license (and excellent driving record) is preferred. A great sense of humor is a must - you will have to put up with my dads jokes and his chicken suit. Experience working with kids our age is required and ECE or any other educational training is an asset. You can negotiate your salary with my parents. My mom manages the money and she is budgeting for about $13-15 per hour and offering three weeks of paid holidays per year (typically in August, December and March). The position might include some travel (expenses covered) , likely to the interior (especially if you ski or board). Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. Looking for a caregiver ASAP in April 2016 for at least 6 months to a year. - Nanny Wanted (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Dear future Au Pair/Nanny, We're an international family in our thirties living between the United States and Canada. Vincent is an American living in Seattle, Washington, USA, and Maria is a Canadian living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our daughter Hazel, aka Hazelnut, is just about 11-12 months old. She is a dual citizen. We're a multi-ethnic family (European and Vietnamese). Maria runs a restaurant company, and since Vincent is gone during the weekdays in Seattle we'd love to share our unique life with a caregiver who is potentially bi-lingual in English and another language. Vincent lives in Seattle during the weekdays except some Fridays and some Mondays. Hazel stays with Maria in Vancouver thus the Au Pair/Nanny work will be in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Since Maria has a restaurant business, At this time, Hazel currently spends her time with either her grandparents, or at the restaurant with Maria. When Vincent is up in Vancouver, he helps take care of Hazel on the weekends/holidays. When we're not busy working, we love the outdoors, traveling, Yoga, and continuing our education in culinary cuisine and international affairs/business. We speak both English and Vietnamese in the home with each other and Hazel. Maria is Canadian-Vietnamese, while Vincent is half Vietnamese/half Belgian (Wallonie). We'd like to work with our caregiver using a flexible work schedule. Though we understand that having a long term set schedule is ideal during their time in Vancouver, the restaurant industry can preclude Maria from having firm hours for our caregiver. We hope we can work with potential caregivers regarding scheduling. What we're aiming for is Monday-Friday with a sliding time schedule week to week between 0830 to 2230. A 40 hour work week. This schedule is of course negotiable depending on the caregivers needs for educational acquisition, or other endeavors they're looking to do in the U.S/Canada. We would like our caregiver to drive as well as take our daughter to pre-scheduled events. We'd also like our caregiver to physically interact with our daughter at home and outdoors. Intellectually, we'd like our carrgiver to engage our daughter using both English and potentially other languages or music. Pay is also negotiable depending on experience level. We'd prefer that our caregiver drive, so she can meet with Maria between three main locations: the main restaurant, the main home, and a second restaurant location. Some additional responsibilities would include: household chores, meal prep, grocery shopping, and laundry. We hope, that together, we can provide a healthy work/living/learning environment for all while with Hazel. Cheers, Maria and Vincent Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!

Lucas (currently 5 months old) seeking full-time live in or out nanny in Vancouver (Cambie and 25th) (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) About us: I was born and raised in Vancouver and have lived here for my entire life except for a 4 year stint in London, England. My husband is from London, England, where we lived together before moving to Vancouver at the end of 2013. We married Summer 2014 and Lucas (our son) was born late 2015. In short, we are new parents living in a family home, located fairly centrally within Vancouver (between Main and Cambie just off King Edward / 25th). We love living in Vancouver and especially the neighbourhood we live in, be it Main & Cambie for cafes, bars and restaurants, Hillcrest and Queen Elizabeth park for outdoor space and activities, or simply having such easy access to the Canada line. I work in Finance and my husband now works in the Electricity industry, both of us being based downtown. We enjoy pretty much all sports, travelling, movies and being outdoors (although the skiing and hiking are more limited these days!). We believe sports are a big part of child development, as we both grew up playing sports consistently through childhood and feel we learnt valuable lessons from them. We both have an open minded approach to life, enjoy learning (we have learnt a lot with the arrival of Lucas!), are fun loving and generally try to have a relaxed approach to things. Services we seek: Having grown up myself with a nanny, I believe they are a significant part of childs upbringing, having a big impact on a childs personality and the way they develop. I am still in touch with my nanny, seeing her own children regularly and am looking to recreate what I experienced. We are looking for someone who is passionate about childcare, has strong morals, good character and is genuinely a kind person. The overall person is much more important to us than qualifications, although having said that we would still prefer some past experience and strong referrals. Having been on maternity leave with Lucas since his birth in November 2015 I am looking to return to work full time late summer 2016. We would be interested in having our nanny start part-time in June and work through the summer two days per week so he can get used to being away from me and used to being with (hopefully) you. There could be the possibility of living accommodation with the role as our home has a newly renovated basement suite with its own entrance, although we are fairly relaxed if that suits you or not. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!
